40 Days Until Alt Summer 2015

Now’s the perfect time to start thinking about your goals for attending Alt Summit. Are you traveling to Salt Lake City for the connections with other social media influencers and creatives? Are you looking to learn new things? Are you hoping to be inspired and return home invigorated?

If you’re excited and want to start doing, here are some resources to help you fine tune goals and get ready.

Alter Your World by Recognizing Innovative Teachers

In 2013, we introduced Alter Your World to the Alt community at our flagship event in Salt Lake City. Since then we have loved watching the community strive for change, show acts of kindness, and celebrate doing good.

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, who supports teachers and celebrates innovation in education, to bring our Alt community a fantastic opportunity. During the next two weeks, we hope you will join us and participate in a contest to celebrate teachers and innovation in education for a chance to win a ticket to Alt Summer for yourself and $500 cash for a deserving teacher.

Alt Chat Wednesday: Keeping Your World View Fresh

How often do you step outside your comfort zone? Change up your daily routine? Why does this matter? Because when we’re not changing up what we’re seeing and doing our perspective and our writing can get stale.

Join the Alt community and our co-host Airbnb on Twitter Wednesday morning (tomorrow) April 29th at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET for an hour-long chat about how to use food and travel to keep your writing fresh. We will be talking about how to incorporate travel and new cuisines into your blogging, engage readers in your adventures, and more.
